    Work VS-XXs. Need bigger lips. Step/Reverse Lip debate

    i've been searching for actual Work lips but no one sells them new and i cant find used. custom lips are too expensive

    thanx to stanceworks i've found this

    they are RH lips, 36 bolts just like my VS-XX's except they are step lip instead of reverse. anyone know if that would be an issue?

    any info would be appreciated

    Yes, you might have an issue.

    Step lipped wheels usually have an 1" or so smaller diameter center than a flat lipped wheel.

    I know my 18" O.Z.'s have a 16" or 17" face on them.

      i see. im left with either buying custom lips or selling the wheels.

      i've found tons of shops that do custom lips overseas. anyone know any in the states?

        I think tuner shops says they do custom lips. Otherwise you can get wider lips straight from Work Wheels. Don't know if it's the case with your wheels but I know my friend was going to try to do this to his Work Equips but decided not to due to the price of the lips and also because even though they are 3 piece wheels they are also welded together.

          im sure lips from work themselves is insanely expensive. i've actually tried a bunch of the US distributors from their website, but none wants to order just lips. Tunershop and TM tuning make step lips so if Jack is right then that's no good for me.

          there is a local shop in White Plains NY near me that can does custom wheels. maybe they can help.... my adventure continues

                  Ive been searcing for 17" work dishes for a long time with no luck. Keep us posted if you get anywhere.
                  I think the Rezax, VS, equip, anhelo, ewing all have the same dish.
                  You cant fit stepped dishes onto a reverse dish and keep the same diameter wheels.

                  Give this guy a try. I cant get a response myself but worth a shot.
