  • Corvette wheels + e36: Need adapter help

    Hey guys,
So I just picked up a set of C4 corvette wheels: 17x9.5 all around et56. Pics:

    w/o centercaps

To be mounted on this e36:

Now I need to pick up some adapters for these to fit my e36, and I need some direction! Am I just going to need spacers with studs and wobble bolts to compensate for the .65mm difference between the C4 5x120.65mm and the BMW 5x120mm? Or should I be looking at actual adapters.

I know there are plenty of e36'ers on here with corvette wheels, just lookin for some opinions! Links/etc to order adapters would be greatly appreciated! (I am located in Laguna/San Diego if there are any local retailers you think I should be headed to)

    Cheers!
    Jake

coming from that high of an offset, id go with adapters. the forum sponsor, rotiform, has some pretty competitive prices.

Talked to Jason on the phone, and was quoted $320 for 4 1.5" adapters, or $50/wheel to redrill them to spec, then run appropriate spacers. Seemed a bit expensive to me, since I've seen similar adapters go for ~$200/set. Anyone have some input on this? Think it's a better move to redrill?

Whatever you do, keep those center caps, I have never seen a set of sawblades on a car with those center caps other than a corvette. They look sooo sick.

Good luck with adapters or redrill whatever you choose to do.

Centercaps will stay on for sure! I'm hoping to get the wheels on the car in the next week, so I can play around with final spacing tweaks, etc... Final et will be 17

And I stand corrected, your car is super hot haha.

Never seen Chrome* with those center caps. So sick, can't wait to see the final product.

Never had a chance to read the whole speedhunters article until now... in love with your unfinished set man! Front fitment is also SUUUUPER balle(u)r for an e36, most guys dont pay much attention to front posture.

i never seen a set of four for $200 that thick, hubcentric and using quality materials. so where did you decide to go?

same price as what he was quoted.

they technically aren't sawblades....but i got mine on ebay. they were only available for one year, so they aren't the most common wheel ever, but they are far from rare. i'd say craigslist and corvette forums are your best bet, they were only available on the 88. if you want the caps that cover the lugs anyway...
