  • proper wheel selection...

Well, i'm really furcate... can't make decision, because i'm not sure what is right to do...
I'm talking about that i want to change my 18's AMG monoblock aero ii wheels with 3-piece 17's AMG wheels -> http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/2701/p1010001xx4.jpg
Really like my wheels, but those are deep and with 17's can go more lower, also i can play with the stretch. The thing that it might be a problem is the offset of the wheels, now i'm running with 18x8 ET31 (front) and 18x9 ET35, and the new wheels are 17x8,5 ET17 (front) and 17x10 ET17 (rear), the car is W124 coupe and i don't know will the stretch be enough, i think some 215/40/17 tires will work for the rear and some 205/40/17 for the front.
I just want to hear what all of you guys are thinking about this case. For now, i really want those 17's, look so dope!

Not sure how different the offset is for the W124 compared to my W210, but I ran 215/40 front and 235/40 rear (falkens) on my AMG/OZ's and they fit fine. The same wheels/tires on my slammed W126 and I can even space them out 20-25mm because of the stretch.

I believe the W210 and W124 share the same recommended offset, but you may want to double check that.

On my W210, no fender roll

and on my W126, 20mm spacers and room to spare

looks dope and as you said you can still space them out...

and these are with the same offset (ET17) right?

I spaced them out on the W126, not the W210, which should share your same fitment. And the fronts are et18, rears are et17, same wheels your looking at, yes.

Make the car fit the wheels.

You can always put spacers on fenders, like amg did instead of pulling.

yeah but this is an option only for the front fenders...

As far as I know rear can go fatter than the front.
If wont fit right away, you can roll dunno if you'll be able to pull tho...
Also you can get creative, and turn your camber links into adjustable ones, and camber it till it fits
