  • Quick 2-day OZ mito project

Wassup, i´d thought to share this here.
This happened about three weeks ago.

Wednesday evening, our club´s (BTCF) meeting at Helsinki, Finland.
Thinking... "Should i buy the wheels back from my friend...?"
    Then i did.

    Specs;
    OZ Mito 2
    8,5x17 ET13
    10x17 ET19

Thursday, i took the wheels apart, because they really needed "small" refurb.
Lips already treated with rough / medium sandpaper...

...Well, "few" hours later, centers repainted, lips sanded with 400/600/1000/2000, polished with autoglym metal polish, i leave the paint to dry and go home.

Friday i get back to business, quick finish to paintjob and assemble the wheels.

I´m going to take the wheels apart next winter and do the polishing again with 1000/2000/4000 sanding and menzerna metal polish, should do the mirror finish.
Oh by the way, bolts are gold plated (not colored) lanza vitas from titanium touch, germany.

Tires are wrong at the moment, i should get proper tires next week...
    215/40 and 245/35.
Also i should lower my shitbox about 40-50mm from the front, but fucking KW V2 coilover adjust plate is stuck. Will be replaced soon.

Did you use standard 10 point OZ type bolts? What size did you use?

I have a set of similar Oz/Fittipaldi 500 modular wheels which I'm going to widen. The bolts are also rusty and need to be replaced, so I'd like to go with either stainless steel or gold plated bolts.

Those are 12point bolts, not OZ 10point.

BBS RS bolts also work on OZ wheels. That's why I got my last set already disassembled, I'll be using spike bolts as well. Sick wheels.

Yeah...I've been considering the BBS bolts for my OZs. But considering that I need to get the 10pt tool to take them apart, I might as well just stick with 10pt bolts.

                        Lovin' the wheels.
                        Those bolts are wikked.
Must rip the shit out of whatever you use to clean around them.
