Thanks for the tip, I'll put the knowledge to use soon.Originally posted by SeeClass View PostActually, white works best on aluminum. Also, use baby powder or white flour to remove swirls.
Car builds sometimes go slow and the wheels are the last thing that gets painted so this thread stays incomplete until then. You all can laugh a bit and some will feel my pain. My tastes became more radical and I decided that I wanted a more aggressive look and ended up changing up the tires before I even ever mounted the wheels. Here are new fitment pics and a peek of the work in progress to date.

It was a fairly basic 4 compound kit I used. Much like this. I skipped the white and just did a black, brown, red in that order. I spent the most time using black. Polishing went really quick because I was up to a 1000+ grit finish once I started working on the buffing wheel. Making sure to not use too much compound is key. I chased goo balls around on the first barrel before I really figured out the right amount to use.Originally posted by .Mad Hatter. Still plugging away at the build for the car. Here is a preview of the color the centers will be:

interestingggg lolOriginally posted by 180roman View Posti did the reverse mount on mine and i measured the offset change to be 15mm
i started with 17x9 +20 and ended up with 17x9 +5
IIRC the mounting part of the face is 9mm thick and the barrel is 6mm thick
guess i have to massage the fenders a bit more then lol

sadly... no. Had a lot of set backs with getting my mgmt and suspension all together. According to the tracking number I will receive the "final" bit tomorrow, the rear bags. Installation of the suspension and fabrication of the arches would require the wheels to come on and off several times and it seemed best to leave them unfinished until the final stage.Originally posted by lzybum View Postany updates? =D
btw can u estimate/measure how much offset is affected by reverse mounting the faces?

I will be pretty dam excited to have the car come together over the winter and will be sure to update accordingly!
