    anyone know about these wheels?

i'm thinking about picking these up since they are dirt cheap ($300) but the guy doesn't have a clue what the offsets are. they are 16x7 & 16x8 so i figured i throw the 8" wide up front and have the 7" wide widened to about 9". trying to avoid 15mm adapters as well if i can find a local place to fill and drill the 4x100 needed to mount if it's even possible as i don't have a picture of the backs yet.

    thx.

are these rare? personally, i don't really care but should i just get adapters since they are 5x120? or should i fill and drill? i figure i'll only keep them a year at the most and if they would be easier to sell at a 5x120 than 4x100 then i guess more power to me.

from a recent e-mail, these came off a 1985 porsche 944 which i am having trouble finding what the actual stock wheel offsets are.

Not extremely rare, but you still don't see them everyday. The 16" 5x120 part is the main rare part about them, you usually see them in 15" 4 lug fitments. Good luck finding a place to redrill them though, it's a lot harder on that wheel than others.

i made a mistake, i meant 5x130...........maybe i'll just get the adapters and avoid the problem of the fill and drill. from what i found out, i think the offsets are around 23 so the 8" up front should sit almost flush with a 15-20mm adapter. out back should look just as good once i have them widened and the camber gets dialed in.

here's to high hopes, and if they don't turn out how i want, then i'll post them up here for someone to throw on their bmw.
