That's weird, shouldn't have been that difficult with 235s. My 225/40 512s were mounted on my 10s with a Cheetah after like 3 tries I think hahaOriginally posted by lowpoke View Postihave 235/40/18 falken 512's on my 10 inch wheels and we fought for 20 minutes with a cheetah to get them on. where did you go?

The tires I have are Falken 512's
Is this a hard method?
I may have to go to a 225/35 if I can't get these on. I just need it by next week!

When I mounted the 215/40's on my 9.5's, we used a rubber ring (same as what a bicycle tube would do) But it still took 3 of us to put enough pressure on the tire to get the bead settled..Originally posted by Tuck&Poke View PostBicycle innertube looks like a solid idea, none of the drama of mounting with a cheetah. I've seen it done but i haven't tried it myself. Basically you get an innertube thats about 1in smaller diameter than the wheels your trying to mount, mash it in between the tire and rim so that it makes a seal and you can build up pressure. Once the bead pops you just pull the tube out.
Bit of a bitch, but very doable..

I've had different places stretch different 225/40/18s on 10s for me and used a few different methods. The bicycle inner tube was one (with 3 people pushing down on the sidewall to get it to bead) and the Cheetah was another, also with a few people pushing down on it, a bit scarier with the pressure those things put out lol

sounds like your cheetah dude isnt all that.

215/40 on a 10. Plenty of lube, shot about 100psi at it, then pumped it up to about 60psi till the bead looked like it was fully mounted. Havent had a problem yet, but im deffinately keeping an eye on tire pressure.
