  • S.Drive's VS DZ101's

Like the title says, i need to run 225/40/18's on 18x9.5 Wheels. Which tires would give me the most stretch? Dunlop DZ101's or Yoko S.Drive's???

I know a lot of you are going to say Falken's , but i have used them in the past and they just don't hold up + they are loud as shit.

    Thanks guys!

DZ101s stretch really well. Honestly haven't really ever heard anything too good about the S Drives. The Dunlops do seem to be a bit more prone to bubbling though so just be careful with them.

i would say DZ101's bro but they are prone to bubbling, just pay attention to the tire psi and you should be good, S Drives are ok, a friend of mine has a set on his 17x.9.5's and they look great but they cost a fuck load and honestly dont strch as well as the dunlops !

Well i ran the DZ101's last summer and had no bubbling problems....but that was 225/40/18 on a 18x8.5 wheel.

What else do you guys suggest besides the Dunlops?

I'm running a really aggressive setup this summer and i need as much stretch as i can get, but i don't want to go any smaller than 225/40's on a car that's 4000+lbs , twin turbo and AWD, my car east tires like crazy.

And BTW the S.Drives cost $4 more than the DZ101's ...... so they are pretty much the same price.

Dunlop SP9000s are supposed to be an amazing tire and they definitely stretch well but are $$$$$$$

Toyo T1Rs are okay too, though my personal preference for my driving needs (daily driver, not beat on or tracked) are fulfilled perfectly with Falken 512s

              Thanks guys!

Mine have worn completely evenly, front tires have about 5/32nd left after about 20k miles I think. I love them though, actually very quiet (I also listen to music in my car always so never really notice too much road noise) and they have a relatively soft sidewall so they ride REALLY well lol. No vibrations or anything like that, as you can see I'm a big fan of 512s

                  I would go DZ's. I've seen a 265/35-18 on a 9.5 and that sucker stretched a bit.

I was going to buy them, but I ended up getting Federals. We'll see how they are.
