17" 8,5J & 7,5J tyre question

Hi all!

Soon my wheels will be finished... but offcourse they are in the need of tyres.

I was thinking of :

7,5J with 195/40/17 Nankang
8,5J with 215/40/17 Nankang

I am looking for a nicely stretched, not overdone.

Hope you guys can help me out!

No they will have some stretch

185/35 Nankang is what I'm planning to run on my 7,5x17s.

A friend has 8,5x17 with 195/40 Dunlop..that gives a pretty nice stretch imo.

Got some more information about the picture you added? Which is a 7,5x17 with what tyre?

Well I did but the best picture there was this :



That does not really show how much it is actually stretched

But seeing the shot of the 195/40 on a 8,5J it makes me wonder what to put on a 7,5J... Cause it will look the best with booth 7,5 and 8,5 at equal or almost equal stretch

It think 185/35/17 on a 7,5J will be low as hell? The ride comfort is all gone I guess then?

Would rather go the other way, to 185-45 to "balance" the two tire sizes out in height/diameter.

Wont be so much stretch on the fronts, 175-45 would be perfect, but no tires comes in that size...

185/35 is allso an option. Looks pretty nice imo.
