  • Max stretch on a 15x8?

I've got a set of SSR Mk1's in 15x8 (15x7.5 front, close enough) and I want to get a really nasty stretch.

Problem is, I can't seem to find a tire. 195/45/15 doesn't seem like it'll give enough of a stretch, although that's generally what everyone uses.

I'd like to run a 175 or a 185, but they all have monstrously tall sidewalls.

    Thoughts?

Funny thing is, thanks to every Sportsack and Rota being 15x8 +0, this is like the most common sizing in the whole entire world. Doesn't seem to be helping me, however.

Hmm...That Nankang is 185/45/15. I hadn't ever seen that available, and all the hits I'm getting are in the UK or Australia, but I'll ask around about it.

Wow, it says Smart car tires are 155/60/15. Would that really fit? Does anyone have a shot of a 155 stretched into a 15x8? Granted, it's a lot more sidewall, so maybe it'd work...

Well shit, that'll work. Found some pics, that's a nasty stretch on 15x8.

            Ordered from onlinetires.com

            $44 each. Outlandishly cheap.

Thanks for the tip Ask Stanceworks and ye shall receive, apparently.

Those 165 45's can look like ass too, my buddy had some on his xb and he took them off within a few days. I actually had gotten a set of 175 50 nexens that stretched real nice but my offsets weren't low enough otherwise I would've loved it.

Hmm, hopefully that won't be the case. I saw a few pictures and it looked nice, albeit a little insane. I'd have done 175/50's if I could've found them I guess, but I think I'll go for broke the first time and change them if I don't dig it.

But on a 7.5" wheel they fit like a tire would with no stretch...
