  • I got scammed (Rotiform Nue Cracked) also is this normal?

So, I made a purchase on craigslist for Rotiform Nue's and i inspected the rims except the last one the dude put it in my car quickly and we talked outside for a while. I was a sucker but anyways at this point im not sure if they are even real.

I don't see any rotiform logo on the rims themselves or I do see on the back they do say NUE on it.

The only benefit out of the deal is the the tires are new 215/40/18 and I paid $500

wish I could have put these on my golf mk7 for a meet this weekend and wish I wasn't so stupid. So many scumbags get cancer

Damn. Sucks that it happened. Maybe you can call Rotiform and at least see what kind of metal they are and get them to a shop. Not the first time i've heard of them cracking.

I bet if you contact rotiform and give them the link to this post, they may be honorable enough to give you a discount of replacing it

          Update:

So rotiform told me they could be Dare wheels it would be difficult to tell and only offered me a discount on a set. Ive sent them an answer and haven't seen a response in a week so far.

I'm starting to believe these are real rotiform and these generations were prone to cracking. Ive seen a post on another form were a guy is selling the exact same ones and they cracked on the inner barrel. Honestly sounds rotiform makes their wheels in the same place as the reps.

Mine are 5x114.3 with a 70mm hub. I can't find these on their site no more probably because they updated the design.

Some cast Rotiforms are made in China.
I'm not the one to defend Rotiform, but cant fault them for not replacing the wheel.
It is likely out of the warranty period and you are not the original owner.

Still I would expect a better customer service and pointing me in the right direction. Like more information on these wheels.

Multiple emails sent back to rotiform and I haven't received anything from them. Nor have i found them to be knock offs. Started to think these are the first generation ones.

Anyone know where I can find knock off of these rims because I'm starting to think these companies wheels are garbage anyways like their customer service.

Not to defend Rotiform but speaking from experience. I had the same issue with another wheel company. Anything that is purchased from an individual (not an authorized retailer) has zero warranty.

there should at least be guidance to this though.

Im still on the fence if the wheels are 70mm hub or not. I bought rings for it but can't tell if the wheels need to be balanced for fit snug since they slide right in.

How can you be on the fence about something that can be easily measured?
Also, your last sentence makes no sense to me, explain please.

I'm guessing he's meaning hubcentric rings? Correct me if I'm wrong.

If I recall correctly, when I had NUEs on my Passat there was some stamping
on the back that indicated what they were. I could be, and probably wrong as usual

                        Best of luck, Eric

                          Yeah I meant hubcentricrings

The only ones that seem to fit right are 70mm to 57.1

I put them on my car and rode on them and I get nasty vibration and I used wobble bolts since they must be 5x114.3 also could be a balance issue.
