  • HRE rims on 964 Porsche

    Hello,

I have a red Porsche 964 from 1991 regular Body with a lower chassis.I have 17" Cup rims on it, so the ride is already a little more bumpy than the regular. Now I am looking for 18" HRE rims with 225/40 R18 in the front and 255/35 R18 in the back, I think they will look pretty nice on the car.
My concerns are, am I able to ride comfortably, or does it take away the fun?

If anybody can help me, I would be bessed!

P.s. this is my first day in that community!

It will take a bit of comfort out of the ride but everyone has their own amount of tolerance between
    sporty, bumpy or fun.

I really liked the way my car rode after i went from 15s to 17s.., it depends a lot on what suspension
    you have...

Also check back with your local tüv to get them approved...

A 225/40 is ran on tons of cars straight from the factory, as long as you're not stretching too much they'll be perfectly fine comfort wise

        Hello!

You can be sure that you won't lose any comfort.
I had same config on my previous Nissan Silvia s15 (Volk Racing GT-7 rims, 9x18 +20 front, 10x18 +12 rear, tyres were Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R).
Go ahead and try different manufacturers of tyres. For example, I don't like Federal or Maxxis tyres, but love Bridgestone and Yokohama.

        Good luck in your project!
