My Build Thread: 5x120 Oz Fittipaldi! Gloss White | Polishing | Restoration

Hi!

I've been a member for a while, but haven't really posted much. I recently picked up a set of OZ Fittipaldi's that will hopefully be making their home onto my next personal project. A clean, Cosmos Black, E36 M3 that I will be picking up next week.

Here are some of the before photos: As you can see, the clear coat is in poor condition, but overall the wheels are in good shape. One even has the original OZ sticker on the outer lip.







Stay tuned for more as I disassemble them and begin the refinishing process.

While I wait for my snap on tools, I decided to give these a quick bath.

Evan, you are new to this, yes?
The outer diameter is not what is measured(nor should you measure the overall width and use that as the width).
The wheels are 17". Stamped as 17. Also 35 bolt OZ halves. 18" would use 40 bolts.

Snap-On 10 point sockets arrived last week and I finally got a chance to split these up.

2 / 4 are done so far!





I heard that soaking the hardware in Vinegar can help clean them up. Any truth to this?
