Bagged e30 wheel tire fitment question

Hi guys,

Hoping I can get some of your help with wheel fitment on my new e30. ('91 318is)

I've been asking on the BMW forums but they're very much purists so I thought I would try here as I know a few of you have these.

I'm getting spinfab to make me a set of 16" bbs Rs but I need to nail down the sizing

Can any of you help?

Notes, will be running air lift performance struts with the camber adjust on the front shocks
Camber OK
Tire stretch OK
would like to sit lip if possible
Would like to be able to run readily available tires. (eg. looks like 225/40/16 are no longer made so that might rule out a wider rear tire)

Looking for this fitment, which the article says is 16x9 and 16x10

Igor's blue e30 is on 1552s at 16x8 and 16x9.5 and while not as wide still looks amazing.

Depends how much you want to roll/pull your fenders really. 8.5 front and 9.5 rear is about flush if your fenders are slightly pulled.
