  • What size tires are you guys rolling on?

I've recently bought some new alloys for my mk1 golf and need tires with a slight stretch on them.. See below for the size of alloy I have brought and post any pics of yours if possible so I can compare Cheers!

    My alloy size is:
    14x6
    pcd: 4x100mm
    offset et: 38
    centre bore: 57.1mm
    6J wide

    Any help appreciated, Thanks Ad

On a 14x6 a 155/55 is about the only thing that'll even go close to stretching, and even then it will be almost none. Bare in mind that's also very small in OD, so if you want something taller, it'll begin to stretch even less the higher the profile you go.

      I run 165/55 on any 14's I use, and they're usually 6's or 6.5's....no stretch but it's a good size IMO.

Thanks I'll continue to look into it.. Got some in the yard here at work so when i get my alloys I'm going to try it with a few different size tyres and see what i think.

If you look at that page and click on the one that says "6.0-155-55-14" that's a 6in wheel with a 155/55/14 tyre and shows a range of pics that people have submitted. "6.5-165-55-14" is a 6.5in wheel with a 165/55/14 tyre and so on.
