Best Wheel Bolt Socket

So rebuilding my VS-XX wheels this winter and just ordered new gold plated bolts. What is everyone using for a socket that won't affect the finish?

The right sized socket and careful torquing shouldn't affect finish. Tighten from the nut if you can

Put a small amount of plastic wrap over the head of each bolt. Tedious and annoying, but that's what I did with the first set of gold bolts I put into some wheels. I didn't bother with the 2nd set and it was fine.
