  • wheel rims restoration

    Hi
I'm restoring the ford mustang 1999. The car has many rusty spots. Currently, I'm busy with the wheel rims, because they are rusty too. I partially finished the preparation works, but yet there are many things to do. What paint can i buy when I will be over with the preparation and cleaning?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

I talked to my friend, he advised to powder coat the rims, but I can not do it now because of my financial situation. May I spray the usual paint, like this https://www.mrosupply.com/paint-pain...908000_krylon/ ?

For wheels I'd suggest buying paint that is either labeled as automotive or that is labeled as applications for metal. I would also suggest doing a couple of primer coats, and then painting the color. Primer color also depends on what type of outcome you want. If you are going for darker colors, grey primer works great. Going for bright colors, white primer works best.
