I don't know what kind of wheel you are looking for but i'll give you a couple examples.
Here are some OEM BMW options
These are my BBS rc090 wheels on my car. They came on e39s but they suit e28s quite well. The only issue i have with mine are they are only 8" wide so tire options are quite limited if you are looking for a lot of stretch.
Style 32s are also a good option as they can be had for pretty cheap and they were also made in 17x9 so that opens up a lot of options for tires
Roadstars are also an option but unless you get a square set of 17x9s the front fitment will be very weak.
There are a lot more OEM wheel options to choose from depending on your taste but those are my personal favorites.
If you want to take the aftermarket route, there are many options but i'm going to assume you are not about to drop 3k on wheels so i'll give you some cheaper options.
If you want to go super aggressive, ARE 398s are a good option. These wheels come in a spec that is very agressive for the e28 chassis from the factory, and due to the hub bore size being different from that of a BMW you need to run adapters to make these fit, so you will end up with a lot of poke. If you're lucky you could find a set of these on your local craigslist.
Borbet As and Borbet Bs are a couple wheels that i am honestly surprised how little i see them on e28s. The problem with these is they are super hard to find in the states.
If your budget is higher than i'm assuming it is, there are a ton of 3 piece wheel options like BBS RSs,
OZ Futuras, OZ Beytons, Gottis, Epsilon southern ways, and many many more.
And of course if you have a ton of money you could buy Aaron Wey's carlines
Hope i helped you out just a little bit. There are a lot more options that i listed, i just gave you a few of my favorites.
Really? I thought they were kinda cool. I love all of those wheels above but I don't have $1200 to spend on wheels as much as I would like to. Are there any cheaper options for a 17 year old working at a supermarket?
The problem most are gonna have with those ESR wheels is that they are replicas. It's hard to slip by with them on here without one or two people moaning about it. And as for the 17x7s, those aren't really a great option as they are only 7 inches wide and seem to have a very high offset also.
I actually learned that they're 16x8. Also, offset isn't a problem seeing as I have 15mm spacers in the front and 20 at the back. Also, spacers aren't too expensive
