So I'd like to think that I'm halfway knowledgable about wheels but these have me a little stumped. So I've found a set of bbs e40 wheels in vw/porsche 4x130 which would work out perfect because I own a 70 vw type 3. My problem is that I can't find any information or replacement parts for them. From what I do know they are 13x8 with 3" lips with the faces flipped and the barrels polished as lips, and 13x12 with what appear to be the same 5" barrels as the 13x8's for lips and probably 7" for the barrels. They're all 16 hole parts. I guess my question is does anyone no anything about bbs e40, where to find parts or are there any other bbs wheel that might match up with these. I'm confident I can get a 8" wheel to fit on the car but a 12" isn't going to happen and I don't really want to buy them and then have to cut them up to make them work.

as stated, either of the links above will be very helpful. you can also check on vwvortex in the wheel classifieds, 16 bolt parts pop up from time to time.
16 bolt parts were made in 13-15" so you can likely upsize the wheels as well if 13" is too small for your use. there are also members on here who can help with parts sourcing, I know Biglou360 has a collection of 16 and 20 bolt parts as well as a few others on here.sigpic

yeah the faces are interchangeable. the parts are flat vs various stepped patterns to achieve the diameter differences. similar for 20 bolt faces they typically fit flat 15" all the way up to 19" halves.sigpic

Woodman is a great resource, and yes, Biglou seems to have a bunch of NOS part as well.
