  • Work VSXX Resizing

Hi everyone, noob here. I've been lurking on the forum for a while and even bought a set of wheels (work vsxx) from someone on here. I bought the wheels with the intent of resizing them, as the specs are no good. They are 19x8 with offsets of +48 and +51. Ive looked into how to resize them and it looks fairly straight forward. I started to search around for lips and decided to just email Work direct and see what they'd say. This is the email that I received.

    "HI Nelson,

    Thank you for your email.

We assume you have Full Reverse 19 inch wheels? You would not be re-barrel them into 19 inch Step Rim since 18 inch center disks are used.
    *
You can make them wider in Full Reverse but it would not be cost effective (Parts, Labor). Purchasing a new set of wheels would be more practical.

    Have a nice day.

Am I in over my head or can it be done?

Work would be most expensive, aftermarket parts are plentiful for those wheels. What part of the world are you in?

If in the North East, you have Stefan; username Icana4dit. He whoud be able to take on the build and/or supply parts.

If in the South East, contact Patrick at Spintech. Same, can build them to whatever spec.

If you want to do this yourself - do plenty of research before you start ordering things.
