  • Tricks to splitting stubborn wheels.

I have his set of Work Ewing III's and I've gotten the barrel off but I can't get the lip to separate from the face. Any tricks or tips to separate them? They look like they haven't been in pieces since they were made in 1994.

Put some wood under the face of the wheel so it's raised up off the ground facing down, put a foot on the back of the face and give the lip a few good whacks with a rubber mallet(I usually use a block of wood and whack that with the mallet as it distributes the force a bit more).

should be easy enough to get 'em w a deadblow hammer.

      unless they're welded ofc

They aren't welded it's just there's sealant on the face of the wheel that the outer lips sits on and it's a drop back style lip so I can't really wedge it off if that makes sense.
