  • Center Cap Help!!!

    Sup guys,
I have a set of Rays Payton Place Queens, and I'm about to get my hardware refinished in gold.
With that being said, I saw a guy on a forum here use the old center cap as a mold for a new center cap for I think some Rezax's, to change the color of the molded logo.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to or knew someone who could "mold" a new center cap with a Gold "P" rather than the silver "P" on them now.
I'm not sure if the way I explained that makes sense. But here are some pics.

A sign shop could make that,

Option a: CNC a piece of 3/16" clear plex. Apply gold vinyl (or gold leaf) reverse cut on the rear and paint over that. Turn it over and voila.

Option b: To get the 3d look they could paint the reverse black then CNC/Engrave the logo into it. Paint it gold or size and gold leaf the routed area then paint it again. Cover the whole rear in vinyl and stick it in the cap.

Not many shops are going to have the patience to do this low volume work for you but if you do find someone local hold into them!
Activity is not on my list of activities.
