tire size for these 18x8s

i just got these 18x8 30 offset G35 coupe rims. they have 225/45/18 in the pics, but i wanna get new tires. i got them for $250. but anyway, i want new tires and judging by the pics should i get 215/40, 225/40, or 225/45? just to let u know, importantly, after next weekend i will be dropped on Tein coilovers so this tire advice question is banking on that im slammin the car on the wheels. all four are 18x8 and sit perfect!. thanks

i know 40 sidewall is my limit, especially with my car that can take 20s with no problem. i think im gonna go with 215/40s. ive seen 18s on mine slammed on coilovers with a 225/40 that looked questionable, but then again the wheels didnt have a low 30 offset like these do. (stock is lke 45)

I would not call offset 30 low, compared to 45 standard.
If i where doing that car, i would go 215/35, and then roll the fenders, and spacer it out after getting it low low.
i had 215/35s toyo proxes on 18x8.5's, and the stretch wasn't much. You should go with a tire that is known to run narrow, like fuzion, or something of that kind.

remember, when you will lower the car. The wheels will get some negative camber.
Thats why i'm saying you very likely will have to space the wheels out.

yeah im not trying to have an insane fitment, like tucking the tires with the wheels poking out. it will probably look like this sorta when im done (this is a sample photo of these on another altima). i love the super streching and poke on this site but im not going that aggressive. its my daily and i do want just a little bit of tire to ride on lol.

this pic is on springs with heavy weight in the backseat but will be this low on coilovers lol

btw this is a daily driver test run too, the wheels have some scratches and curbs but i do plan on aftermarket ones later, like anything by Work!

So what if its your daily? Mine was driven everyday as well. Tho, i would recommend you to roll the fenders, the lip on there is huge, then you can space it so the wheels are flush, don't have to poke at all.

Wait till you lower it. Then decide on what tire you'll need.

A 215 won't even stretch on an 8.
