  • Safe to DD 165/45 on a 15x7?

the looks is great, but i drive everyday and drive about 100+ miles on the weekend. always on the freeways and the roads in my area are bump and shitty, full of potholes and dumb dips and bumps.

so im wondering if its a good idea to DD a 165/45 on a 15x7?

    any input is appreciated. thanks.

It's as safe as a regular mounted tire. Just make sure there's enough air in it. I say this just because IMO it's harder to tell if a stretched tire is low on air. My stretched 215/40's look the same when they're at 10 psi and 40 psi.

Exactly. This is when the beads will become unseated if the pressure gets too low. Watch out for pressure and you'll be fine.

I daily drive on 225/45/17 on 17x10.5 with no problems at all.
