  • Tire size for a 10.5" rim

As the title states. Im interested in seeing some of your guy's tire setups on 10.5" wheels. i was some stretch to see the top lip but not enough to see the barrel. If possible i'd really love to see a Nankang NS 20 245/35/18 on a 10.5". From google'ing pics it seems like a feddy 595 225/35 stretchs like a Nankang 245. Input and pics appreciated!

      Go there^^^^^

Federals run wide, so a 225 or 235 will fit sort of like a Nankang 245. I had Achilles 245/45/17 on a 10.5 and it was a slight stretch, but the higher profile will always stretch less and look more meaty. I'd think a 245/35 sounds about right for what you want, but have a look on tyrestretch.com

Okay so I've looked around tyrestretch and I found a nankang ns2 245\35 which looks perfect for what I want but then I found a nankang 225\35 and it looked like it had the same amount of stretch! :\

Okay so I did some searching on tyrestretch. I found a nankang 245\35 with the stretch I want but I also found a nankang 225\35 that looks like the same amount of stretch.. Ugh.. Examples.

Different model tires stretch differently, even if they're made by the same brand.

I'd be thinking that "245" isn't a 245 and might have been entered wrong. I could be wrong, but as you say, the stretch looks the same, which it shouldn't be with an extra 20mm of width on the tyre.

So my thought process is, if I use my current setup for reference... 18x9 with 215/35 squared, I move up to a 10.5 in the rear which is an inch and a half larger or approx. 38mm. Going from a 215 to a 245 in the same brand tire is a 30mm jump so the stretch should be about the same. Does that sound right to everybody else?
