Offsets for W114s?

So I seem to not be able to sell my 3 Piece AMG Aero 1s, and came across a dirt cheap W114 Coupe. I'm in need of a daily as I'm getting rid of my GTI and was debating on picking it up, only thing stopping me from doing it is that I don't know if my wheels will fit well or not.

They are 17x8.5et17 and 17x9.5et30

I know their is plenty of vintage merc guys on here, someone help me out!

hi i am having the same problem though i am using 16" 7,5 et 31..the problem i am having is the front rims are hitting the steering joint and the back are hitting on the inside shockie Mount, when the car is lifted in the air..the solution was to use 5,5 inch inner barrels instead of the 6,5 which are now for sale on this site..i am also using 1 inch Outer lips front and back ..this has been a frustrating and expensive exercise..i wish you Luck ps i would think that these Wheels would have difficulty in fitting..john

I run 8.5 -25 all around on mine. If you're worried about the offset being too low, you're golden.
