  • 7,5x17 und 9x17 - what tyres?

I'm refinishing my "new" wheels for the E30 now, but I'm wondering what tyrespecs I should run with?

    Frontwheel: 7,5x17"
    Backwheel: 9x17"

I was thinking of 185/35 in front and 215/35 back..

What do you guys think? Other ideas?

    Thanks for the help!

On my upcoming wheels, i'm gonna run 215/35 on 17'' 9j.
I know Falkens, make those, as well as Continental and Yokohama S.drive.

Tho i can only find 185/35 from Nankang NS2. Don't know if your willing to run two different brands, or if you know any brands that make both of those sizes.

Don't know, but you seem to get different heights with running 185/35 and 215/35. Seems like you would want 185/40. But don't think that size available.

    I would run 185/35 with NS2 and 215/35 Falkens 452's.

..and that was exactly my plan too, but I was hoping someone knew where to get 185/40, 'cause I haven't found that size. Too bad.

Well then..looks Iike it's gonna be 185/35 with NS2 and 215/35 Falkens 452's after all The hight will be 6,59 (3,6%) cm smaller in front vs. back. That will work just fine.

How much tyrepressure should I run with? The car is, as told, a bmw E30.

        Well, i don't know.
But on my old setup, that was 215/35-18 on a 8.5j. I ran 2.5bar.
        With my new setup thats gonna be 215/35 & 225/35 on 9j / 10j x17''
I think i'm gonna run about the same.

Yeah..that sounds about right. I've used 2,5 bar on my 8,5x17 with 205/50 (winterwheels) on my other car.
Important to have enough pressure when the tyre is as small as 185/35.
I'm sure it'll work out just fine

          Thanks for the help mr.Zic
