  • BMW E28 535is.. what Setup (BBS RS or BBS Lm Style)

    Hey Guys..
    i just took a E28 project on
    its stock..

so i was wondering what Wheelsize you recommend to fit best on this model?
17 inch or even 18 inch ( havent seen many 18 inches)

design: BBS RS design or BBS LM design!!

does 18x9.5 offset 22 or 20 work well?
(fenders will be rolled and maybe a bit pulled of course)
    or
    17x10 offset 20
    ? whats your opinion?

what tire combination you recommend?? either or??

17s fit best in my opinion
    17x10 et20 will fit pretty good. 225/ 40 front 225/45 rear probably

and i don't think lm style wheels look that good on e28s you need more of a classic design

you are probably right about the design..
        17x10 are awesome for sure..
        i have 16x 9 on my E30; Et 20!

i just never see 18x9.5 on this Car !

i was wondering how much of bodywork is needed, and do i have to adjust the
suspension parts if i run this setup?
        anybody know?

            Thanks
            so i probably consider a size 17

since the OEM BBS Rs are pretty expensive and hard to find i was thinking
about "replicas" has anybody experience with
ESM wheels or JNC Wheels with the "RS design"?

heres a pic of my e28

PLEASE dont get any rep wheels. Just save your money for the good stuff. Ive got a buddy that got the ESM RS replicas and after a few months, the coating on it was starting to peel. I dont know if its because of the quality or lack of care of the wheels itself. More than likely a combination of the two...

              Anywho, beautiful e28!

                  Please say no to replicas.
You can find a reasonably priced set of RS's.

Don't do reps. For 17s even on a budget look around. You can find other period-correct wheels like Oz Vegas, Epsilons, etc in good e28 offsets and widths for around $1k

                      Go buy these: http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=67413

Freshly rebuilt, decent specs, and it's hard to beat Style 5s on an old BMW (or a new one, for that matter).

If you want a cheaper RS option, find some 5x114.3 and have them redrilled.....cheaper than 5x120. Split and refurbish them yourself to save a bit rather than buying a built, mint set. Don't buy reps!
