  • stretching a 25 profile

    whatup whatup.

so ive stretched 30's before with no problem. but i was thinking about throwing the 255/25/20 on to my rear wheels which are 20x10.5

though, there wont be much stretch, im kinda sketched out stretching a 25. i dont want to turn and have my rim scrape the ground. anyone else here stretch some rubbabandzzzz?

yeah. i know. i doubt there is anyone that would want these sizes to trade either. ideally id run a 245/30/20

I ran a 235/30 on my 20x8.5"... I would NEVER have gone any skinnier of a tire!

That's insane. Do you even need air in 25's?

At that point I think I would literally just stretch an ass ton of rubber bands around my wheels and roll like that. Wouldn't have to worry about flats and the ride quality would surely be comparable.

I ran a 225/30 on a 20x8.5.. at -4 degrees of camber, There was very lil tire touching the road, and the inner lip of the barrel looked like I took a metal grinder too it... but I was damn low on 20's

With that said, if I can avoid it, the lowest I will stretch is a 35 series... I can't think of a good reason to stretch a 25 series... running the appropriate size 25 series is akin to stretching a 30 series in terms of ride comfort.. meaning there ain't much. Unless you are getting a deal on a 25 series, run 30 series with a mild stretch if your looking for clearance.

Im guessing 255 30's will rub, I would do 265 25 if your intentions is to have more meat back there, but 255 25's on a 10.5 to me, has bad news all over it, use the tire guide to see what you come up with.

im an idiot. the tires are 255/30/20. hahaha. rears are 285/25/20

so im gonna throw the 255/30's on the rear for sure and find some 215/30 for the front!

                            what about 185/35-17 on a 7,5" rim?

will it work out safe, or not?

Works. Pretty common size over here in the dub scene, actually. Have seen it on an 8x17 as well.
