  • Bbs rs black windows

    Hi there.

I am located in New Zealand and there isn't much refurbishment options of wheels in NZ or rebuilding.

I want to do the polished faces and coloured windows,

can please someone advise me on how to do this so I can let someone know in NZ, as no in NZ knows.

    Thank you.

I don't think you're looking hard enough if you think no one in NZ knows this. There are many options which are on the net and many people who modify cars there

Disassemble the wheel, sand the entire center with 400 grit. Paint the entire center black. From here you have 2 options.

1: Clearcoat. Let cure. Then sand the face with 400 again till black paint is gone (don't sand the windows). Then do 600 grit, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, then mother's aluminum polish. This will leave them raw polished and they will need to be repolished every once in a while.

2: Don't clearcoat until after polishing. This will dull the polish a little bit but you won't have to worry about it being raw aluminum and oxidizing.
