They were still available from OZ when I needed to replace one a few years back, not cheap nor quick coming through customs, but I got one.

email is likely your best bet if you don't speak italian.

I did a PPI for a local Ferrari Tech while he called b/c I don't speak italian. Few min. of talking in italian(no clue to this day what he said) and he had a part number, price, and the number to the warehouse.

I've learned it's much better to have a native speaker call places in europe for parts b/c if they think your american your chances of getting decent service often go from slim to none. You will have to find your own italian though, as I doubt my friend would appreciate me giving his number to random people on the forums.

i guess ill try google translator and move my english to italian. if that doesnt work ill have to look for a local friend who speaks it.

edit : just found out a girl i hangout with often, speaks good italian. so if they dont respond to my shotty translated emails i will have to give them a call.

anyone else have an idea ?

OZ UK has none and doesnt know who might have some

OZ italy says the part is long out of production and they dont know who might have some left.

so the contacting OZ method has been turned down.

nobody has a cousin with a daughter who is dating a guy trying to sell a set ?

You should try tekarbon.com or another company that makes custom carbon fiber pieces.

Find somwhere in your area that does prototyping and quote having a set made. I've done that before for some NLA BMW emblems for a restoration. The first will be expensive b/c of the mold setup costs, but if you got several sets made you might be able to get an acceptable cost per unit.

thats way too much time, fabrication and money. im looking for somewhere that has some original caps, not looking to pay out the wazoo to have custom replicas made.

Fab isn't as expensive or as time consuming as your making it out to be especially when there are likely OE caps you could copy within driving distance. But good luck on your hunt for OE caps just the same.

                          Erik

i am a machinist/welder, but my gf does molds/casting aluminum. if it REALLY came down to that id go that route. but im really trying to avoid that.

Well casting aluminum is one way to go, but for simple centercaps I'd use a dense epoxy resin that will accept paint, use simple box silicone molds and ready to paint in about 12 hours. If you have access to a simple vacuum chamber (can easily be made with a 5 gallon bucket and a vacuum pump) you can pour really high density silicone molds at home allowing you to make really nice epoxy parts that don't really need much clean up post molding.
