I have just got my rondell style 58 back from refurb as they where pretty wrecked so had to lose the polished dish but heyho had then done in black chrome all over.
They are going on an e46 325ci what would be the best tyre combo
Car has sports suspension wheels are 17x8.5 et13

Really depends what you are looking for. If you wanna have a stretched set of tires on there you can go for 205/40's which would result in a decent stretch. You could even go for a 195/40 stretchwise, but at that point it'd be silly-narrow for your car I imagine, unfortunately 8.5J is not very wide to begin with.
