  • What tire should I go with?

So basically...wheels will be 9.5" wide.
    I need:

    • Alot of stretch, but not ridiculous..I don't want my bead popping off on the way to school.
    • A low as possible height.
    • Any brand, these will only be on in the spring/summer so I don't care how well they handle, grip, etc.
    • I'm not looking to spend a ridiculous amount on tires, so any advice, or personal experience would be great.

      Here is my 225/40/18 Federal ss595 on a 9.5"

The Federals run wide, I hear.

Don't see how you need wheel info, its 9.5" Here's the car

I already know I'll need a professional pull in the rear, and probably front, with alot of camber. Thats the plan at least. But I want to make my work less with stretch.

And yeah, I think I'd need a bit more stretch than that.

Need info on wheel, 17? 18? offset?, craziest stretch for a 9.5 imo and pushing the safety limits is a 215 35 tire, I run a 225 40 on a 9.5, also japanese brands ofter stretch better that american and euro brands, these latter ones run on the wide side, hope this helps

17 inch. +15 offset with a 20mm conversion spacer. *holds breath* I know, this will be a hell of a task.

            I'm thinking 205/35/

need to find an actual tire in that size though.

That would fall on the Ridiculous stretch category, never seen a 205 35 17, but a 195 45 17 might work, again its gonna be on the extreme side, also try 205 40

I don't think there is one.

That said, this guy I know runs 215/40 on 9.5x17, looks good!

I used to run 225/35/17 Falkens on some 9.5s... can't seem to find any pics though, but it looked good!

205/40 is pretty much the skinniest 17" tire they make. The 195/40 sDrive runs wider than a skinny 205/40 such as a falken 512. I think it's General that makes a 185/35, but thats way too small for you.

okay, I'm too much of a pussy, so I'm going with the 205/40/17 sdrives.

going to also order rear camber plates, whiteline camber bolts, and get the car pulled as much as possible from my good buddy before the paint chips. then all I'll see how much more I need.
