Today I got a keychain of the VSKF hardware, from a small company on instagram and its awesome lol. Also I am having trouble polishing the lips on the wheels I can't get the oxidation off at all.
Well I have been searching around for the color code of the burning black used by work for the VS-KFs and XXs with burning black and I think this is the closest I can get to it, http://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors/USS-5204/
If anyone knows of a color closer that would be a great help!
Also I managed to find a warm day and test fit the 9s on the front! Very excited to move forward from this point!
I just got mine redone as well but now i need to replace a few of the nuts. Any idea of the thread pitch? I went to a local hardware store and a m8 nut doesnt screw onto the bolt a m7 nut did but 1. they didnt have a m7 flange nut and 2. the guy said that the bolt looks more like a fine pitch m8. Well with that i called work wheels direct and all they could tell me was that the bolt is a m7 and that they had no idea what the thread pitch was. Now im stuck with my wheels waiting to be re assembled so any help would be appreciated. MAHALOS!
haha after a quick call to wheel flip i found out they are m7x1.0 i ordered all brand new nuts from them.
Its hard to tell from these pics but my wheels were pretty beat, spray painted faces and super dull lips
and heres the after, lips are back to mirror and cant see in this pic but its a really sparkly white lol
Awesome thread..I've been searching for a thread dedicated to vskf's rebuild....I'm buying some 18x8 and 18x9 but want to rebuild them with bigger lips... does anyone know pricing on how much it cost to have the weld cut out to rebuild them?
