  • 16 inch tires

I'm having trouble finding tires to stretch onto my wheels. The rear is 16 x 10.5 so I was thinking 225/40/16 but it's really hard to find. Any idea where I can find something around that size? I might just settle for 225/45s

I plan on putting a 215/40 on the front which is a 9.5

What kind of car are the supposed to go on to? You're in a tough spot with those sizes!

    1. If you wanted an almost identical stretch to your fronts you'd want a 235/40 on the 10.5's but those tires are almost nonexistant.

    2. 225/40's exist, such as the Toyo T1R and plenty others, would however be a rather tough stretch - can be done though.. with some tires I imagine. I wouldn't go there.

    3. 225/45's work on 10.5 stretchwise but may look somewhat out of place accompanied by your 215/40 on 9.5 fronts. The circumference difference might be rather visible. Here are mine for example: http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...&postcount=173

    It's a real deadzone. :/

Strangely they'll be going on my 05 civic coupe.

I've been in a dead zone. I've considered falken 452s which run larger and come in 225/45 and 215/40 so I can have identical tires. To counter the circumference difference, I can just try to get it hellaflush as possible so it's less apparent.

The other option is to ship some 225/40s in from Germany. I've never done that before and have no idea if a lot of shops ship or how long that would take. Sometimes I wish I was running 17s so I would have more tire options lol.

        Here's my favorite picture of my friend's car. 17 x 9.5 in the front. 17 x 10.5 rear with 215/35 and 225/35

wow, 225/35 on 10.5 is literally on the verge of what's possible. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable with those

Anyway if you don't mind those extreme stretches, you can go for 225/40's.

The other thing I've just seen is there is a T1R in 245/35/16 which would be the exact same circumference as the 215/40's, how about that?

Don't you pay import taxes when getting shit from abroad? We pay a fuckton of taxes for everything outside the EU, so we mostly end up buying locally at 150% of your prices.

Yeah. That's exactly what I'm scared of. The price of T1R's are enough... but the taxes and fees might rape me twice as hard
