  • Pic Request - E46 on steels....

has anyone ever run banded steels on an e46?

in uk its all LM and CH BBS reps (yuk - i **** reps/fake splits) but got me thinking as i get **** over here for wanting to run 17" style 5's or bbs 302 etc cos there to small or (and i quote) lok rank on an E46...(this is coming from people who think -30mm eibach springs = lowering!!!)

so - how about banded steels - that should really annoy people!!!

    has anyone done it yet??

I feel like 15" or 16" (whatever you can run due to calipers) would look sweet on a DUMPED e46 325/330/whatever

I've seen one around town on 17" steels which is the smallest you can go if you have the "sport model"

i am dying for someone to run a banded 20 inch steel wheel that comes on the dodge ram pickup trucks as a spare. But 20's may be too big for an e46, plus they would need a fill and redrill

You can get bigger steelies then 15" or 16's...

                right o.

well i'm on the case- got 2 sets of 17" vw transporter T5 steels on the way (5x120 pcd)

going to cut the front lip off one set and weld on the rear lip from the other set.

                should give about 8 or 9j x 17 and et20ish as a rough guess.

Why are you going with VW steels??

Why not choose the 17" BMW steels that came stock on the E46s 330i or something like that?

But anyways, it's going to be cool and unique. Remember a Passat from the UK on 10x17 steels, awesome.

because bmw steels in uk are either 16" or mega bucks or space savers.

2 sets of vw t5 steels in correct stud pattern are bugger all - i just have to machine out centre bore i think
