  • Help needed for the perfect 18'' stretch.

Seeking the perfect stretch for 18x10 and 18x12 wheels. If these were 19s I'd know exactly what to get, but I'm really not familiar with stretch on 18s.

Basically I want the max amount of stretch I can get. However, not a fan of having so much stretch that the tire doesn't at least fully cover the barrel. I don't want to be able to touch the barrel! I'd like the stretch to be even in the front and back, also the smaller profile the better as it makes for a nicer stretch.

    For the 18x12 I'm thinking a 255-35 or a 265-35.

For the 18x10 I'm thinking either a 215-35, 225-35, or a 215-40. Being that my front fenders are plastic, I definitely want the smallest/shortest tire possible so I'm leaning towards the 35 profile.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance for the help. Please don't say "GO TO RIMTUCK TYRSTRETCH AND WILLTHEYFIT.COM". I've already spent hours on each of those sites and seen tons of pictures. They don't really help all that much, seeing stretch in person is a lot different.

Don't use Feddy 595ss. I have 19x12 with 265/35 and a tiny bit of barrel is showing.

On any 10" wheel 225/35 looks best IMO

A lot of this depends on what tire brand and model u are using

Thanks for the help! I hear the federals are good because the bead won't pop or something like that. Not sure about the truth of that. How do you like them?

I wanted to use Achilles ATR Sport tires in the front and rear but they make it a little difficult because of their sizing. For the rear they only make a 265-35, not a 255-35. So maybe I will go with a 265-35. For the front Achilles only makes 215-35 and 215-40, no 225-35. The only 225-35 tires I can find are Federal 595 and Nankang NS-II. Not sure which one would be better.

So maybe a 225-35 (Nankang NS-II or Federal 595) and a 265-35 (Achilles) will be best?

The Nankang NSII tires are really good for stretching. I wouldn't do a 255/35 on a 12. I don't think it will even work.

We struggled like all hell to get the 265/35 on a 12.
          I would def. do 225/35
