  • e36 guys; talk to me about 16s

Ok here's the deal, I might be picking up a set of 16x7.5 et35 wheels.

My current stuff is 7.5 et41 and 8.5 et41 in the back ... so basically with these new wheels the front would be sitting 6mm ... more flush, which is good enough for me; the back would be sunk as shit, but I got 10mm spacers I could throw on. I just don't know what tire size to go with ... I really don't want to roll the fenders when I throw the spacers on in the back.

I know people use 205/50 with e38 weaves so I'm debating between that and 205/45 if I get those wheels ... tell me what I should do.

btw, I have barely any clearance in the front, and 205/45 would mean that at the same height I'm losing another half an inch of ground clearance which would pretty much mean carange on roads around here.

Why don't you wanna roll your fenders? Its the best ting you can do, don't even gotta damage the paint, just scrape the dirt / "that coating" of the inside of the lip, then heat it and roll it sloooooooowly. batabing batabum and you can run way better ET's.

In my opinion go with something that is 8.5 or bigger and et around 15 +/- 5mm depending on the width that you are gonna run, and a nice stretch to boot. I thought you where going for a flush look, and not sunk.
    Just my two cents.

      Keep your 17s.

16" on an E36 is incredibly hard to pull it off.

The only way to really pull it off is with 9x16 and the car so low, you can barely drive it.

Roll your fenders, don't get anything smaller then 17's or narrower then 8. 16's on e36 are almost impossible to pull off like Dr.AK said.
