  • E32 Stance help.

    Hi guys,

I've got a predicament, I was wondering if somebody could help me out?

I'm picking up my E32 Alpina in a few hours, just got a question about the rear fitment, because I've already bought a set of wheels I want to use, but I'm not sure if they might be a bit weak.

    I've bought these, PLS Evolution, 17x8.5/10j, et14&15:

Only problem is they are 5x112, the narrowest adapters I can find are 20mm, bringing me down to et-5 out back, is this too low for a E32?

I've had a look around but stanced E32's are pretty thin on the ground and I'm not sure if a E34 is a worthwhile comparison when it comes to rear fitment.

I'd just rather know now if they're not gonna look right, rather than after I've spent £400 on tyres and PCD adapters and hours refurbing them...

    Really appreciate any help.

    Olie

a -5 offset on a 10' wheel with that tire is pretty wicked, i would say the fitment should be close to an E34 which holds Oem MParallels pretty snug with their 18x9.5 et25.

my advice would be place them on or as close to the hub as you can, then measure how it sits to the fender, then add 20mm

    good luck!

Hi man, cheers for the help.

Yeah I guess that's my best shout, I could raise it up under the rear suspension so the axle is still loaded or something.

Those tyres are just what came with the wheels, I'll be going down to a 215/40/17 on the rears I'd imagine, maybe a 235 as the police are getting a bit fussy around here lately.

      Cheers again,

I suppose a redrill is always an option as a last resort, would be a shame to 'ruin' the wheels though :/

Oh ok haha, beautiful car! I like the Style 19s, but take off that boat hitch ASAP! Lol
You can red rill, but honestly I think you should look for a nice classic 5x120 wheel with nice fitment!

                Cheers man!

Yeah the toe hitch will be coming off first job, don't worry haha.

Hmm, OZ Futuras were kinda my original plan, to me these look nigh on identical to Futuras though so fingers crossed the style should work!

I'm gonna do what you suggested and just see what I've got to play with I think man.

The style 19's are okay, I don't think they suit the 32 myself but I like the idea of putting them on a 328 Touring some day, or I might just sell them on, I know they're more popular over your side of the pond than they are over here! I've got a feeling the rears are 9J, but I'll have to check to be sure
