Riverside Altstadt 1

Hey guys, so i picked a set of Riverside Altstadt 1 wheels It was advertised for $200 i got it down to $150 Not sure how rare these wheels are but im pretty stoked! The wheels are in good shape has some minor curb rash and one barrel has a dent and its chrome! im not a big fan of chrome so imma get it strip then get the center brushed clear finish and polished the lip or maybe powder coated it all black. Heres the specs 18x8.5 et36 Front, 18x9.5 et36 Rear

I'm jealous man (I see you are semi local). I've been looking on CL for a long time recently for another set and it seems like it dried up.

Props on finding these, they are not extremely rare, but they are definitely worth way more then you paid. Can't wait to see them fixed up.

Thanks man! Socal Riverside area. I wasnt really in the market for new wheels i was just browsing CL and was checking my for sale ad. But yeah i got lucky...

The wheels are missing center caps though and seems like they are hard to find (the black & gold ones)

Yeah definitely but it shouldn't be a huge concern. They won't lose half the value or anything such as some old volks/HREs without caps.

Also, it seems like a simple press in cap, just measure it and check ebay with the size (mm most the time). My Asso wheel caps are literally impossible to find, so I measured and got some chrome prius caps that look good and cost 9 bucks shipped new.

We'll the lip & the barrel are welded together so I'm guessing it used to be 3 piece? Correct me if I'm wrong

Correct, but effectively now it is a two piece. This was probably welded from factory though. A ton of Japanese companies used to make 3pc wheels, then weld and put a seal around the weld. It is quite infuriating when you get a set with the intent to go wider but see that weld. If you want to go wider, you certainly can by having it machined off. Its technically the same process of people going wider on style 5s or other wheels with a solid barrel.
