  • Celica Stance

    Hi everyone

after doing a quick search on here and not finding much i figured I would just make a thread.

I really love the whole flush/hellaflush stance that alot of you guys in the USA have... there are a few cars over here like that, but not many.

Anyway, I am looking for a new set of wheels for my ST184R (5th Gen) Celica to give it this sort of look (along with new suspension, maybe spacers, whatever else i need)

I especially like the whole ghetto-fabulous look some of people go with (eg. flat colors, rust, dints, etc and then awesome wheels/stance)...

So what does everyone suggest, there are some pics of my car below (yeah the current stance is shithouse)

paint is a lot more faded/oxidized now.

Well to start looks like you def need some coilovers and lower offset rims.

I know that, it is actually on coilovers, they are just set quite high at the moment.

as for the lower ofset rims, i was hoping for some suggestions of what specific rims people thought would look good...

wheels on it now are 17x7 and +40 something offset.

              stockers are 14x6 +45

ok. second question. How much work are you willing to put into making some rims fit? (i.e rolling the fenders, pulling the fenders, cutting sh*t up)

doesn't phase me, the car is my weekend/piece of shit car, I don't really care what I have to do to make it have the hellaflush look...

Well then your options are endless then. If I had to take a guess(seeing as how i have never worked on a celica to make it flush) going by other cars with the 40+ offset stock. I would say something like a 17x8.5 in a +25-30 offset would look rather sick. What coilovers are you running now?

I think that's a car with almost no potential, honestly

Everything has potential. Just depends on how far the owner is willing to go.

i have a buddy with the same issue. says he is going for the "ratty" look. translated that means he simply cant afford to make it not look like shit, so he claims it looks like that on purpose. i guess it makes them feel better when talking about their pieces of junk.
