work VS-SS relip HELP

has anyone relipped a set of VS-SS got a set on the way that i want to relip but cant find any info on it. Can find VS-XX info all day but nothing on VS-SS. I have googled, used search tool on here, and checked a few other sites.

what do you need to know exactly?

i want to know what it consist of. I assume cutting the barrel and lip apart but once this happens can i just buy lips and bolt them back together or will they need to be rewelded. Does anyone have pics of this being done etc
