  • Tire size help for quattro

What kind of tires would you recommend for the following types of wheels??

18x9.5 and 18x10.5. One guy recommended 225/40 and 235/40. Is that okay?

They are coming to Audi A4 B7 quattro.

    Thanks in advance.

Those tire sizes are definitely Quattro friendly but 10.5 in the rear of a B7 is going to be a challenge. What I the offset on the rears? You may have to go super stretch and run 225/40's all around to get the rear tires to tuck under the fenders.

Yeah, 10.5 is challenging. There ain't much room. Rear wheel offset is 37. One guy here in Finland drives 18x10.5 with 225/40 and he says that it doesn't rub badly, almost only if there are people in the back. And he hasn't done anything else than played with camber. Or would it be a better option to choose 18x10 with 245/35 to rear?

Here's some wheels I'm working on, 18x10 et20. With the difference in offsets your fitment will be almost identical. As you can see its gonna take some mean stretch+camber to make it work. I'm going to run 225/40 Falken 452's and don't foresee any problems.

To answer your question if it were me I would run 18x10's to allow yourself to run 225's without having to stretch the piss out of them. 245's would be pretty squared up on a 10 which makes it really hard to get the wheel flush and still tuck tire, assuming that's the look your after.

Got the picture. 10.5 is too wide. I think that I will go 18x9.5 front and 18x10 rear. Let's see what happens during the winter. Thanks for your help and advice.
