  • Gold Plated or Gold Powder Coated

I am in search of a new set of wheels and was looking for some opinions on gold finish. I am debating between doing a actual Gold Plated Lip against doing Gold Powder Coated Lips. The obvious is the price difference its allot cheaper to paint than dip but I feel you can only achieve that true gold look when you do the gold plating. So what advice do you guys have that might have some experience or knowledge on any of the two? Looking for advice and also the reliability since this will be a daily driven car.

Thanks In advance... This is also my cherry popping post on SW!

with the right powdercoater and the right prep, you wouldnt be able to tell the difference on a lip. its all in the prep and polishing..

Thats tricky where I live, In miami allot of people do half ass jobs. I have been searching on Water Transfer if they can accomplish a gold look. I looked into anodizing but after all my research I don't think I will achieve the shiny affect due to the material.
