  • Can anyone identify these BBS centers?

I have a set of wheels and I'm not sure exactly which model they are. What I do know:
    • They're Motorsport wheels.
    • The centers are stamped 'BBS'.
    • They're not E28s (the area around the lug holes is shaped differently).
    • They're not E87s (the E87 only comes in 16- and 17-inch and mine are 18-inch).
    • They're not E88s (the spokes aren't back-milled).
    • The centers can accept center caps.

I was told by the seller that they were wheels from a Porsche Cup car. That would make sense were it not for the fact that they accept center caps.

    Any thoughts?

        Looks like BBS GT2s

This is my current wheels. We replaced the other BBS GT2 Magnesium race wheels with the forged aluminum center instead. Special thanks to John S. and BBS for hooking this up for us.

              I agree. They're not RS-GTs.

I haven't, but that's a good idea. There are part numbers lightly etched into the centers, however I fear they were painted over. I'll have to dig them out and look.

They do look similar to the above image. Does the 'II' in the name indicate two-piece? If so, they're not the same as mine are three-piece with the same gasket ring seen in Motorsport wheels, though they may be a GTII center mated to two-piece barrels. [EDIT: Upon closer inspection, it seems that the GTII is a 20-bolt center and mine are 24-bolt.]

The following images are not the GTII; they're E88s. That's easily discernible by the back-milling on the spokes:

No, they are absolutely not E88s. As I stated in the original post and my reply to Jason, the E88 has back-milled spokes. Mine do not. Here's a shot of them before I had the centers painted. You can better see the sides of the spokes:

The Porsche cup wheels should not be 5 lug from what I have seen.

Contact Michael Cox @ BBS USA. If he doesnt know, he will try and find someone who does; he is incredibly helpful.

No sweat. I also went to that site looking for information.

Thanks for the compliment. I like them very much and I'm eager for the weather to break so I can mount them.

Thank you very much. I'll send him an email now.

I'm also dubious of the Cup car story. Even if they were old Cup wheels that used a 5-lug mounting system, I can't imagine that they'd have provisions for mounting a center cap.
