  • NEED to get these wheels to fit.

Hey Everyone, this is my first attempt at getting a decent wheel fitment. I want to put some BMW X5 'lobster claw' wheels on my 2012 VW Scirocco, but as it stands they will not fit at the rear due to sticking waaay to far out from the arches. They are 19x10j et30 after 15mm PCD adapters. My arches cannot be rolled (they are pre-rolled from factory) And I have to run adapters as the wheels cannot be re-drilled. I can shave about 4/5mm off the back face of the wheel, but I need to know how i can get another 5mm off. I will also be running a little bit of camber, but cant go crazy as the car does 18,000 miles (30,000km) a year. I am already planning on stretching a 235/35 over the 10j wheel, but ideally want to avoid stretching much more. I want poke, but not stupidly crazy amounts.

Do you guys know of any tricks to reduce it by another 5mm...

I may have to give up, and im in love with the idea of these wheels on my car.

You could probably get them inserted down to 5x114 then run wobble bolts. Not sure if you can insert to 5x112 or if that's too much.

X5 wheels are super high offset..

Just pull your fenders and call it a day.

Or just sell them and wait for a pair.
believe it or not you don't "NEED" cool wheels. you'll survive without them.

I'd say shave 5mm of the back of the rim, get some cambershims and set m to 1 degree more than standard. And go time

This plus a 225/35 tire, if you want the fitment your looking for your gonna have to stretch some rubber. 225's on a 10" wheel isn't too crazy anyways.

Edit: both the wheels in my sig are 19x10's with 225/35 falkens. Just if you wanted a quick reference.

I cant roll my fenders, everywhere around me wont do them. As stated in the OP

And okay then i would "like" them...

Ahh see i thought it would be a much more aggressive stretch than that, your right it doesnt look too crazy. Elsewhere i have seen it on the internet it looked really stretched. Cheers man!
