Resizing from 17" to 16"?

Hey guyz,

maybe someone of you know this...

Is it possible to convert a 17" rim into a 16"?

I'm talking about these:


They 're 17x8,5 ET 25, 5x110...

The rims were made by BBS for Steinmetz.
As i know they share the lip and barrel and
hardware with the 17" RS...

Could i just get some 16" RS lips and barrels
and put in these faces?

Nope. Those look like the large bore faces to me. And if they are, stepped lips won't work.

Did you already buy the wheels? I wanted to step a set of these up to 18"

I bought only the faces like 20 min. ago.
Couldn't resist the deal...

Do you know the bore of the 16" RS faces so
i can check when i get them.
I wanted go with the slant lips.

Edit: I may know someone who has a set
of these.., but have to check.

These are 13" exposed bore, 16" 34 bolt faces are 12.25" exposed bore

You need to run flat lip like a lot of the Work wheels do

No jdm lips will bolt up to European faces, it's usually a no go mismatching any manufactures parts. Why not just go 17" and save some headache?

I don't like 17", particular on my car...

They were also produced in 16", but these are very very rare...
