I have searched and searched but cant find anything other then mile long debates over real VS fake wheels. This thread isnt for asshattery. Let grown people make an informed decision by themselves. I just want a clear list of what company is legit and whats a cheap clone.

Please chime in with a brand and whether its real or fake. If fake please state the original (link if possible.

Volk, with the TE37. That's just my opinion. BBS is probably a big one too, RS and LM copies all over. Companies like Miro and Esm make the copies.

If you had asked me about fake split wheels ten years ago I would have said that they were nice and looked good.
Nowadays I (probably) have matured into the sense that they look what they are - Fake!
Doesn't matter if somebody have managed to fit 19 inch BBS LM-ripoffs in a nice way on a Golf - if I notice (in most cases I do) that they are fake I be like: -Nah, looks like crap.

Not trying to spam or kick in wideopen doors. Just expressing my opinion.

Ont: I think that this thread somehow has some purpose. Not to promote fake wheels, but to give ppl more experience with recognizing said wheels.

Why not post pictures of fake wheels next to the originals?
(Yes, there is Google, but if you think that way, why is there forums at all?)

Also, for the dummies or whatnot: Please be sure to explain which of the wheels that is the fake one and which is the original. Even though it might be obvious to yourself that Volk is the original and Rota is the ripoff, it might not be the case for new users on the forum.

Spread the word, and we might have a constructive dialogue about this.

No we wont. This has been covered AT LENGTH on this forum. There are people on each extreme and also some in the middle.
