Bolts were originally chrome/ I cleaned everyone by hand.

Not sure what they are charging me, actually. It was gonna be around $100 for 80 bolts if they plugged the socket. I told them not to, so it should be considerably less. Ill report back- hopefully in a few days!

At first I was a little disappointed, as they did mask the socket(somewhat). There is powder in the bottom of the socket, but you can clearly see that they masked the splines off. So they socket head is usable, no powder there. The other is that it cost $100, basically labor for the masking. I should have done the myself or they should have known easier methods, like cardboard, jig, wood, etc that would have made it much easier. Oh well.

On the bright side, when I'm not staring at the bolt closely(like in these pictures)and when installed on the wheels, they look like they are gold plated and they look nice, so, all in all, I'm happy...

There you go. Looking forward to any of your others experiences...

Thanks. Because the splines had been masked, they arn't as gold as I would have liked. The centers are black cherry.

Looking forward to seeing the results of your bolts. How much are they charging you?

i dont know yet. as soon as i get them in the mail, ill call and ask if i like the finish..lol

the guy said it would be 1.25 each bolt if they werent galvanized and i dont think they were. so 170 bucks. New ones would cost 250. but depends in quality whenever they come in the mail. then ill go from there.

Sounds good- I found this on eBay, as far as the BBS style of bolts in gold. Seems like a good price. I was going to do this if it wasnt that I wanted the socket head style for the vs-ss

Wheels are on the car... mostly adjusted. Need an alignment, got some room for positive camber. I'm out of town right now, i'll get some pics up soon.

lol.. yea man. they told me it would be 1.25 for each bolt. so 170 total for all 136 bolts. if they werent galvanized. i found out they werent, so after talking to 3/4 different customer svc people before, during and after sending my 2 sample bolts they plated, last guy says theres a minium of 300.00 but he d give me a 250.00 deal. i was like.. w t f.. nah. im just gonna either buy some RSs for about 180 or the style 5s for 240.00 . damn.. gonna have to wait to refinish now see how long they take to ship from the UK.

                              sucks

Yea, these bolts can cost! Might as well buy new ones most of the time. I do believe if they didn't tape everything off on my bolts they would've looked much better. Not as good as plated, but better. Looking forward to seeing yours completed!
