  • Tire question

I may have asked before but forget..I'm going with a 16x9 wheel but having trouble deciding on a tire size. I'd like to stay with a 205 series, feeling 195 is too small..any recommendations on what would work best? 40/45/50? Going on a 96 Outback sport. Car won't be tracked but driven hard on the back roads. Thanks!

depends on how low you are/you're trying to get, the higher profile will have a taller side wall, and will not be as much of a stretch, therefore less clearance. I would personally go with a 205/40.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. I wasn't sure how much of a difference there was between 205/40 and 205/45

So you're going to stretch and then "drive hard" on them?
